Theater versus U-Shape Seating Arrangement

U-Shape is best used when the presenter needs an intimate connection with a small audience of no more than 10 to 20 participants. Anything larger than this can get overwhelming for the presenter. U-Shape seating invariably causes certain participants to see the back of the presenter and if you are using a projector you can easily block the view for the learners.
However, u-shape seating allows the presenter to easily gain access to each learner and offers a great discussion forum as each participant is able to see all others in the room without having to turn around or shift their point-of-view too much.
